Marri Coffee Table
This bold live-edge coffee table keeps the raw character of the timber front and centre. The natural grain, dark feature lines, knots, and rugged edge detail give the piece a strong organic feel, while the clean black steel and Marri legs add a simple modern contrast. Finished to highlight the warmth and movement in the slab, this table is built as a one-off statement piece for a relaxed contemporary space.
Jarrah Brisket Paddle
A handmade brisket paddle crafted from slabs of Jarrah deadfall sourced from Sawyers. The natural shape of the timber has been kept, giving the paddle its long sweeping profile and plenty of character.
The striking grain pattern comes from the crutch where the branches divided, creating rich movement through the face of the piece. Finished to bring out Jarrah’s deep red tones, it is a practical serving board with a bold, natural look – built for BBQ, brisket, and proper shared meals.
Marri + Steel Hall Table
This hall table and mirror set was created from a Marri tree with a story of its own. After falling in Green Head during storms from Tropical Cyclone Steve in the early 2000s, the tree had been earmarked for shredding by the shire before a local stepped in to save and slab it. The timber was later gifted to me around 2004, then held until the right project came along.
The result is a matching entryway piece that celebrates the warmth, grain, and natural feature of the Marri. The mirrors frame the timber’s character beautifully, while the hall table sits on legs designed and manufactured in-house, giving the piece a clean, industrial contrast and a completely custom finish.
Marri Dresser Topper
A compact dresser topper made from Marri, designed to add useful storage while keeping the timber’s natural character on display. The warm tones, darker feature grain, and rustic edges give the piece a relaxed handmade feel, while the simple drawer layout keeps it practical for everyday use.
Finished with black pull handles and subtle detailing, it works as a small organiser for jewellery, keepsakes, keys, or daily bits and pieces. A functional piece, but still built to sit proudly on display.
